Fall is the most beautiful time of year at Wishful Acres.  Our acres of trees are changing color, and the fields & gardens are also displaying beautiful fall colors of many crops.  We hope you can make a stop out in the next couple of weeks, to enjoy these fall colors at their peak beauty! In Farm News, this week Group B of the half-CSA members, and the full-CSA members, you can pick up your shares anytime during our open hours this weekend!   Also in Farm News this week, aside from the WONDERFUL 2" of  rain we received after nearly 6 weeks of drought..... the 2018 CSA program details have been unveiled!  The 2018 Season will be our 10th (!!!) season as an organic vegetable farm!  For details on next year (there will be some changes, including a shortened season), visit our web site CSA page here.  Current CSA Members always get first dibs on a spot, so if you'd like your spot held now, just let us know (payments will open up in December for current members). Lemonhead - mild wheat beer brewed with Lemonheads candy Peach Mango Ale - mild fruit beer Jack-O-Java - Pumpkin Coffee Spice Ale - this is the new batch, we already ran out of batch #1, so this is the 2nd and final batch of Jack-O-Java. Unicorn Tears - Our unique copper-colored ale. Honey Wheat Ale - Mild & very drinkable Homemade Root Beer (non-alcoholic) In addition to fresh beer by the glass, we also have growler fills available for carry-out!   Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) News CSA farm members, you may pick up your vegetables anytime during our open hours this weekend, Friday 4-9, Saturday 12-9, Sunday 12-5.  In this week's veggie share: Pumpkin - "Amish sugar pie pumpkin" variety, great for cooking with Delicata Winter Squash -  aka "Sweet Potato Squash" Acorn Winter Squash - an heirloom green variety Mustard Greens - southern curled, great sauteed with bacon! Radishes - German Giant variety of red radishes, green tops included (also edible) Spicy Asian Greens Mix - a mixture of red & green Asian greens - great for salads or stir fry.
