We're CELEBRATING!!!  On this weekend, 1 year ago, our brewery opened!  Join us in celebrating this milestone all weekend long!  Here is what's happening: * Friday- 4pm, 1st tapping of VLADIMIR, our 12% ABV Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout! Barrel Aged for 6 months! On tap all weekend long, we brewed a full-sized batch, we have plenty & won't run out for a few weeks (open Fri 4-9, Sat 12-9, Sun 12-5)!!  * Saturday- 12-2pm live acoustic music by Sean Huguenin, and again 7-8pm! Classic hard rock! * Sunday- 12-5pm Oktoberfest Bratwurst fest! Serving local made brats, cooked in our own beer, then grilled! Visit our Taproom & Store!!!  Now Open - Fridays 4-9 pm, Saturdays 12-9 pm, and Sundays 12-5 pm - visit our web site for location, directions, and more: www.WishfulAcresFarm.com.    Tap Room & Store In our Tap Room this weekend, open Fridays 4-9 pm, Saturdays 12-9 pm, and Sundays 12-5 pm, we will be pouring fresh from our taps: Vladimir - 12% ABV Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout - aged 6 months!  We can only serve this in our 6oz size glasses due to the high alcohol content! Also available in 32 & 64-oz growler fills for carry-out. Limit of 2 growler fills of Vladimir per customer. Lemonhead - mild wheat beer brewed with Lemonheads candy Peach Mango Ale - mild fruit beer Jack-O-Java - Pumpkin Coffee Spice Ale Sabertooth Cupid IPA - relatively mild, made with unique fruity hops Unicorn Tears - Our unique copper-colored ale. Honey Wheat Ale - Mild & very drinkable Homemade Root Beer (non-alcoholic) In addition to fresh beer by the glass, we also have growler fills available for carry-out!   1 Year Anniversary Celebration!!! We'll be celebrating the 1 Year Anniversary of our opening on September 29, 30, and October 1, with events all weekend long!  Mark your calendars now: - Friday, September 29 - First tapping of our "Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout" - we brewed this dark, strong Imperial Stout last winter, and aged it in a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel for over 6 months!  This beer is delicious, and strong - a whopping 12% ABV, and full of flavor!  We'll be tapping it on Friday and serving it up all weekend long! - Saturday, September 30 - Our friend Sean Huguenin will be playing an acoustic set of classic rock -(especially 80s heavy rock) from 12-2 pm and again 7-8 pm  here in the brewery!  An awesome musician and a great guy, we hope you'll be able to stop out to listen to Sean's music set. - Sunday, October 1 - Oktoberfest Celebration - The final Bratwurst grill out of the year!  Join us for our final "Beer & Brats" grill out from 12-5... the only one of the year that can be enjoyed with a glass of our Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout!  We'll have Oktoberfest music playing, brats grilling, and our craft beer menu available. Thanks so much to all of you for your awesome support of our small brewery, it's been an awesome journey so far!   Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) News CSA farm members, you may pick up your vegetables anytime during our open hours this weekend, Friday 4-9, Saturday 12-9, Sunday 12-5.  In this week's veggie share: Spinach - first harvest of the fall spinach crop! Radishes - German Giant variety of red radishes, green tops included (also edible) Spicy Asian Greens Mix - a mixture of red & green Asian greens - great for salads or stir fry. Acorn Winter Squash - cream-colored heirloom variety Arugula - Italian salad green with a delicious peppery flavor Komatsuna - Another Asian Green Vegetable variety - big sized, full head.  This variety looks similar to Bok Choy (you'll also receive bok choy coming up this fall), but the flavor is slightly different - the flavor of this veggie is like a cross between an Asian Green Veggie and American-type Celery (especially the crunchy stems). Cilantro Eggplant - slender dark purple Asian variety, tastes the same as the Italian variety of eggplant, but has a smaller shape.
