Brew & Farm News: Prize Giveaway, new Beer, Buy-one-get-one FREE Garlic & Radishes!

You can Win a t-shirt, glass growler, and pint glass!  Enter to win on our Facebook page, look for the post mentioning the giveaway, share that post + "like" our Facebook page, and you're entered!  Deadline is this Friday, Jan 6!

We have a new beer this week!  Named "Galahad", it's a very drinkable English Mild style beer - brown in color, very malty in taste, with a low hop content.  This style of beer was originally made popular in London and the Midlands of England.  Brewer Nate says this is his new favorite, competing with his regards for our Alderaan IPA!  Speaking of which, Alderaan IPA is almost sold out.... if you've been enjoying this one, grab some pints, growler fills, and bottles soon, it will be missing from our lineup for a while once it runs out!  Ditto for the Coffee Habit, that batch is almost gone as well, so stock up if you've enjoyed it!

One more brewery news item of note: we've tweaked our "Beer Share" CSB (Community Supported Brewery) program for 2017.  Based on customer feedback, we now offer just 2 levels of membership, both with smaller quantities of beer.  Learn more on our web site's "Beer Share" page.

In farm news, we're running a Buy-One-Get-One-Free special on our Garlic & Hakurei (mild Japanese white radishes), visit our taproom & store this weekend to stock up!  If you've never tasted our Hakurei, you're in for a treat.  Very mild in flavor, and tender in texture - perfect for slicing & munching with dip, or tossing onto salads!  Eat our veggies!  In Farm news, the registration for the 2017 Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA) is open,  more information here on our web site.

Lastly, Winter Micro-Greens CSA Members, Group B is scheduled to pick up your micro-greens here at the taproom & store anytime this weekend during open hours.

Recipe Corner

Pan Roasted Hakurei!   Recipe online here

(take advantage of this week's Buy-One-Get-One-FREE special on our organic Hakurei, grown right here on our farm)!

A perfect way to use the Hakurei from this week's special buy in our store & taproom!  I refer to Hakurei as a "mild Japanese radish", but in reality they are classified as salad turnips.  No, they're not at all like an American-style turnip, which are very hard & require cooking.  Hakurei are tender, creamy, and mild tasting.  Typically eaten raw with dips & salads, they can also be cooked, like this recipe!  Spoiler alert: our farm CSA members tend to love Hakurei, they are among the favorite root vegetables grown on our farm.  And they grow so well, and so abundantly, that we have plenty left in storage.  Move them from our refrigeration to yours, they'll last many weeks in your crisper drawer!
