Brew & Farm News: Unicorn Tears is back, plus more news & happenings!

Back by Popular Demand - Unicorn Tears! This copper-colored ale is malty & mild, made with specialty malts & featuring a rare New Zealand hop.  Many call it slightly sweet, many call it tangy - you can call it yours this weekend, it's back on Tap!  In further brewery news, our batch of Alderaan IPA is almost sold out.... if you've been enjoying this one, grab some pints, growler fills, and bottles soon, it will be missing from our lineup for a while once it runs out!  Ditto for the Coffee Habit, that batch is almost gone as well, so stock up if you've enjoyed it!

Our Holiday Hours will be the same as regular, we'll be open Friday 4-7 and New Years Eve from 12-7 pm.

Last week's featured recipe:

Stuffed Pepper Soup

1 bag Wishful Acres frozen heirloom tomatoes, thawed
1/2 bag Wishful Acres frozen green pepper, thawed & diced
1/2 bag Wishful Acres Frozen yellow peppers, thawed & diced
1½ to 2 lb ground beef
12 oz can tomato sauce
2 cups beef broth or stock, heated
1 small onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup uncooked instant rice
Salt & Pepper to taste

Brown ground beef, onion, garlic and peppers into a large stock pot. Stir frequently
& cook until peppers & onions are soft and ground beef is coked.  Add beef stock,
tomato sauce and frozen thawed tomatoes (add entire bag of thawed tomatoes,
including liquid in bag after thawing). Stir well and simmer for 15 minutes. Add
uncooked rice and simmer until rice is done. Enjoy!.
(If you desire a smoother consistency with the tomato peels, puree the frozen,
thawed tomatoes in a blender before adding them to the soup)
