Brew & Farm News: Expansion project, On Tap, and more!

We're excited to announce an expansion project!  We've purchased a new fleet of kegs & are now offering our draft beer for sale to local bars & restaurants!  We're now on tap at Mullligan's Bar & Grill in Lena!  Let your favorite local bar or restaurant know you'd like to see us on tap - they can contact us directly to purchase.   In farm news, time is running out for those wishing to pay with "installments" for our summer CSA program!  We do offer an installment plan if paying by personal check, but it must be paid in full by May 1.  If you want to pay with installments, sign up soon:  http://www.wishfulacresfarm.com/csa-program.  Contact Penny if you have questions - wishfulacres@gmail.com. Recipe Corner Pan Roasted Hakurei!   Recipe online here A perfect way to use the Hakurei from this week's special buy in our store & taproom!  I refer to Hakurei as a "mild Japanese radish", but in reality they are classified as salad turnips.  No, they're not at all like an American-style turnip, which are very hard & require cooking.  Hakurei are tender, creamy, and mild tasting.  Typically eaten raw with dips & salads, they can also be cooked, like this recipe!  Spoiler alert: our farm CSA members tend to love Hakurei, they are among the favorite root vegetables grown on our farm.  And they grow so well, and so abundantly, that we have plenty left in storage.  Move them from our refrigeration to yours, they'll last many weeks in your crisper drawer!
