Brew & Farm news: NEW Mocha Coffee Stout, Greenhouse Salad greens, and more!

Our NEW special winter release beer: a Mocha Coffee Stout, will be unveiled this Saturday 11-6 in our taproom!  We've named this beer Coffee Habit, and it features our smooth popular stout aged with cocoa beans & coffee!  Did we mention it's delicious?!!

In Farm news, the weather outside may be turning frightful, but inside our passive-solar-heated greenhouse it's delightful!  Our CSA Members will be seeing lots of greenhouse salad greens in their weekly share, plus oodles of root vegetables!  There will also be plenty of farm fresh and farm frozen foods available for purchase in our store & taproom on Saturday!

Visit our Taproom & Store!!!  Now Open every Saturday, 11:00 am-6:00 pm - visit our web site for location, directions, and more:

Last chance to Sign-up for Winter Micro-Greens CSA
Join us in eating Fresh, Local, and Organic all winter long with our indoor greenhouse-grown Micro-Greens!  These are grown right here on our farm, all winter long, and provided to our Winter Micro-Greens CSA Members (Community Supported Agriculture).  Want to learn more about our micro-greens?  Right here!

The pickup schedule for the Winter CSA is changing slightly!  Rather than a Thursday pickup during a 2-hour window, members will be able to pick up their microgreens shares on their assigned weekend (pickup is every other weekend), anytime during our open hours!  Beginning in mid-December, we'll be adding some Friday hours in addition to our Saturday hours (the Thursday members-only time will be removed), and you'll be able to arrive anytime during our open hours for your "share"!  We will have your greens in refrigerated storage, and will simply pull them out for you whenever you choose to arrive.
CSA Member Share News
CSA Members, the full shareholders & Group A half-shareholders are scheduled for pickup here at the farm today (Thursday) between 3:30-5:30.  Group A half-share members, this is your final share of the season (where did the time go?!).  Don't forget, root vegetables will store just fine for many weeks in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator (keep them inside the plastic bags we package them in).  This week you'll receive:
  • Lettuce (fresh from our greenhouse)
  • Rutabaga
  • Turnips
  • Black Radishes (best eaten very thinly sliced or grated, have many health benefits!)
  • Spinach (fresh from our greenhouse)
  • Potatoes (fresh, crisp potatoes, keep refrigerated)
  • Hakurei (mild Japanese white radishes/salad turnips, enjoy raw with dip or on salads)
  • Garlic
  • Root Vegetable choice item - a mix of different root veggies, members choose one
  • Greenhouse salad greens choice item - a mix of different greenhouse-grown salad greens, members choose one
As we wind down towards the end of the 2016 CSA season, a quick reminder of the remaining pickup dates:
- Thursday, Dec 1 - Group A & Full Shareholders - Final Pickup for Group A
