The power of our new tractor rototiller!

The view from behind our tractor today... our new 4 foot wide tractor-powered rototiller. I can't tell you how much this view means to us here on the farm!

For the past 4 years, we've operated 1, 2, and now 3-4 acres of vegetables, fruits, and herbs with the use of nothing more than walk-behind handheld rototillers.

No longer! This tiller was one of the main reasons we purchased our 1st tractor back in May of this year. And we bought the tiller implement last month. So worth it... it does in 10 minutes time what would have taken 2 hours with our small rototillers. And does a much better job!

Love it.

Our 1st tractor!

We bought a tractor! We were planning to hold out another year, but the farm business has grown large enough that it became a necessity this year. We'll soon be selling our smaller equipment: riding mowers, one pull-behind tiller (attached to a small garden tractor), and a front-tiller. Email me if interested in purchasing our used equipment: wishfulacres@gmail.com .

Oh my Deere!

I had about an acre of new ground to break & till into new garden space. (We'll now have about 3-4 acres of gardens & orchards growing for our customers!)

After spending the past week fighting with the various small tillers we have here on the farm (none of which is really intended for breaking new ground), I gave up and called in the big guns!

We rented this beautiful 35 horsepower John Deere tractor with 60 inch pto tiller. OH, how wonderful this job was to do when using this machine! We only have the tractor for 24 hours, so we were busy today!

I'm starting a new fund: "Wishful Acres Tractor Fund". I'll be sad when the rental company comes tomorrow to pick the tractor up. Thinking we need a tractor of our own...

See the yellow mobile home behind me in the picture? That's the Wishful Acres Farm Store! Opening May 12!!
