I had about an acre of new ground to break & till into new garden space. (We'll now have about 3-4 acres of gardens & orchards growing for our customers!)
After spending the past week fighting with the various small tillers we have here on the farm (none of which is really intended for breaking new ground), I gave up and called in the big guns!
We rented this beautiful 35 horsepower John Deere tractor with 60 inch pto tiller. OH, how wonderful this job was to do when using this machine! We only have the tractor for 24 hours, so we were busy today!
I'm starting a new fund: "Wishful Acres Tractor Fund". I'll be sad when the rental company comes tomorrow to pick the tractor up. Thinking we need a tractor of our own...

Oh, a tractor is a wonder. My 40th bday present was our tractor. :)
