4 NEW Beers on tap, Hot Sauce Tasting & more from Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery!

We have been waiting patiently for a beer to run out, so we could introduce a new one.  And, as we thought might happen, 4 ran out in one weekend.  So, rather than spreading out the new beer releases, we have  4 new beers on tap this weekend!  Great news for all of you!!! The 4 new beers will be explained in detail below, but here is a brief listing.  Also, these beers are all full-sized batches and will be around for awhile.  So, if you don't want to brave this weekend's extremely hot weather forecast, don't worry.... these beers will be around for at least a few weekends! - Pineapple Ale (new fruit beer) - Goin' Camping (Stout) - Howdy Hops (IPA) - Galahad (English Pub Style that we've brewed before) Also, read below about the Hot Sauce Event that will be happening in our taproom from 5-7pm on Friday!   Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery - taproom open Fridays 4-9, Saturdays 1-8, Sundays 1-5.   Tap Room Bar at our Brewery In our Tap Room this weekend, open Fridays 4-9 pm, Saturdays 1-8 pm, and Sundays 1-5 pm, we will be pouring fresh from our taps: Pineapple Ale - fruit beer Goin' Camping Stout - brewed with graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate Galahad - English brown ale Howdy Hops IPA - citrus IPA Double IPA - high ABV, hoppy! El Dorado - Pale Ale Smart A** - Wit Bier (supply getting low) Overcast - Hefezeizen German-style Peach Mango Ale - fruit beer Honey Wheat - mild & easy drinking! Homemade Root Beer (non-alcoholic) In addition to fresh beer by the glass, we also have growler fills available for carry-out!   New Beers On Tap!   We have 4 beers going on tap this weekend!!  All 4 are either brand new recipes (3 of them), or one we haven't brewed for awhile (Galahad).Here are the descriptions of each! - Pineapple Ale - Another of our Fruit Beers!  Very mild, slightly sweet, refreshing.      Made with real fruit & juices.  A brand-new addition to our rotation! 5.5% ABV, 5 IBU - Goin' Camping Stout-  A dark, malty stout brewed with graham crackers, chocolate,     and marshmallows!  S'mores!  Delicious.  6% ABV, 35 IBU - Howdy Hops IPA - This IPA features flavors of citrus hops with a complex malt bill. Made with 6 hops:  Mosaic, Warrior, Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo. 6% ABV, 65 IBU - Galahad-  Welcome to England in the rural Midwest!  Galahad is an English pub-style ale.  Brown in color, very mild & malty in flavor!  5% ABV, 22 IBU Hot Sauce Event! Join us this Friday, July 19, from 5-7 pm for a Hot Sauce Event!!! Our friend Sean began his special business adventure with Brandt last year. Brandt, who was born with Williams Syndrome, had a desire to work for himself, and with Sean's help they're making it happen! Visit with both Brandt and Sean this Friday from 5-7 pm here at Wishful Acres, learn about their business, and try their hot sauces! From Sean: Brandts Wicked Pissah Hot Sauces will be offering a tasting of our 4 hot sauces. We will also be offering up a snack bowl of tortilla chips served with a hot sauce of your choice (with extra options) for just $4. Also available will be Bottles of Sauce for sale to take home and or make a great gift for the hot sauce loving enthusiast. July 19: Hot Sauces from 5-7 on this Friday night with Sean of Brandt's Wicked Pissah Hot Sauces July 28: Food Truck Grill out - Burgers, Brats, Pork Chop Sandwiches, Fried Cheese Curds Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Member News Farm Members, please refer to your pickup schedules.  In this week's share: Grean Beans -You'll each get a nice big bag full of these gems, over a pound each!  Great steamed, boiled, roasted... fresh green beans are delicious any way you like them! Cucumbers - 5 each! Fresh, crunchy, and thin-skinned.  Awesome!  Cucumbers are delicious - sliced onto salads, sandwiches, or in a salad all their own... such as my favorite - a vinegar & sour cream sauce cucumber salad! Broccoli -  Great raw, steamed, roasted... you name it!  We all know how good broccoli is for us.  :) Zucchini / Summer Squash - 3 varieties in your shares!  A nice big bag with approximately 6 summer squash:   Middle Eastern Zucchini (my favorite) has a light-green skin, creamy texture, and mild flavor. Yellow crookneck has a beautiful color!  And regular green zucchini is a staple!  Zucchini is delicious cooked, but it can also be eaten raw on salads & with dips! Basil - YUM! There is nothing like fresh basil.  So delicious used fresh & raw on sandwiches, salads, pizza, pesto, you name it! Swiss Chard - Super delicious chopped finely on a raw salad, or lightly sauteed. Deer love this crop, but it's super delicious and healthy for humans, too!  :) Kale - Super delicious in a kale soup or kale salad, or try a recipe for kale chips!  This leafy green vegetable is super healthy. Garlic Scapes - A gourmet treat! The fresh top of the garlic plant. Use as you would fresh onion or garlic. Our recipe database contains cooking ideas for all the vegetables we grow - link here. Our CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture) is a membership program in which members become "shareholders" in the farm's seasonal vegetable production & receive a "share" of the farm's organic  produce for our full 22-week-long season!
