Cherry Ale, First Farm Harvest & more from Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery!

Cherry Ale is BACK on tap this weekend!  This fruit beer is mild, fruity, and sweet/tart in flavor.  It replaces Raspberry Lime, which has run out. This week is the first harvest of our organic vegetables for our Farm Members! Members of our CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture), please refer to your pickup schedules... the season has begun! June 23: Food Truck Sunday - Kristi & Sons Food Truck (food item TBA) Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Member News The season has begun!  Farm Members, please refer to your pickup schedules.  In this week's share: Green Simpson Lettuce - x 2 - A double-sized bag of this heirloom spring lettuce!  Simpson lettuce is light green and very delicate.  You'll never see it in a grocery store due to it's delicacy; it's a lettuce that is meant to be enjoyed fresh & local. Great for wilted lettuce salads! Arugula - x 2 - A double-sized bag of arugula!  The arugula harvest this year looks amazing! Large leaves of arugula with a beautiful bright green color.  Radishes - Beautiful "Easter Egg" radishes in a multitude of colors: red, pink, purple, white. The leaves are left attached, and are also edible - try some on a salad, the greens taste similar to the radish root itself. Red Oak Leaf Lettuce - Beautiful light red colored lettuce. Try mixing in several of the greens in this week's share for a beautiful salad of many colors & flavors! Asian Greens Mix - A mix of Mizuna, Tat Soi, and Red Mustard greens. Packs a bit of a peppery flavor, and is nice mixed onto a salad or very lightly stir-fried. Delicious fresh raw or cooked. Spinach - The first spring leaves of spinach! Delicious on a salad. Our CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture) is a membership program in which members become "shareholders" in the farm's seasonal vegetable production & receive a "share" of the farm's organic  produce for our full 22-week-long season!
