*Snow Beer*! Beer Chili Day cancelled & more news from Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery!

Snow, snow, everywhere! We've had over a foot of snow fall here at Wishful Acres in less than a week.  What to do with all this snow?  We made a beer with it!  Scroll down for pictures.

Unfortunately, all this snow brings with it some disappointing news.  We're cancelling our Beer Chili Day that was scheduled for Feb 3.  Why?  With over a foot of snow on the ground, and much more snow predicted for next week, we expect that we won't have enough available parking space for one of our busy chili days.  Our Beer Chili Days get so busy that our regular parking lot quickly fills, and then our "overflow" parking lot (the grass area at the front of our farm near the street) fills up as well.  However, our "overflow" parking lot is currently under a foot of snow!

The good news is that we'll be open as normal, just no chili day, and we keep our regular parking lot well plowed.  Our regular parking lot is generally enough parking space for a regular-sized crowd, just not big enough for a Beer Chili Day!  So, long story short.... we'll be here, and so will the cold beer, but no hot chili.  Thanks for understanding!

Lastly, sign-up is now open for Brew & Brush with Artist Mia!  Scroll down for details: Mia will be helping everyone paint their own Highlander Cow!

Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery - taproom open Fridays 4-9, Saturdays 1-8, Sundays 1-5.

Tap Room Bar at our Brewery
In our Tap Room this weekend, open Fridays 4-9 pm, Saturdays 1-8 pm, and Sundays 1-5 pm, we will be pouring fresh from our taps:
  • Coffee Bean Stout - Dark stout aged with coffee beans
  • Leia's IPA - citrus-hops, not overly bitter for an IPA!
  • Amber Waves - Mild amber-colored ale.
  • Cherry Wheat - fruit beer
  • Unicorn Tears - copper ale
  • Liquid Schwartz - Schwartzbier style (German black lager)
  • Honey Wheat - mild & easy drinking!
  • Homemade Root Beer (non-alcoholic)
In addition to fresh beer by the glass, we also have growler fills available for carry-out!
*** SNOW BEER DAY *** !!!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow..... because we're making beer with the snow!
We took advantage of the 1 foot of snow that fell here this past week, and we made a Snow Beer!  That's right, beer made from Fresh White Snow (not yellow)!  This beer will be a lager, so it won't be ready for at least a month, but you can see pictures of the Snow Beer Brew Day here!
