We have a brand new IPA style beer on tap!  Meet "El Capitan IPA" - a golden colored beer brewed with Amarillo and El Dorado hops.  Mildly hoppy - stop in for yours soon! CSA Farm Members, more & more of the tomatoes are ripening each week!  We keep your tomatoes out of refrigeration for best taste; separate from the rest of your share (which is kept in refrigeration).  Our heirloom tomatoes are really ripe & delicate, and they do not have a very long shelf life (especially the cherry tomatoes).  For best results, try to pick up your share as soon as possible on your assigned weekend during tomato season.  Thank you!  :) Farm CSA Members: Group A half-share members and Full Share members, you are scheduled to pickup your organic vegetable shares this weekend. Snacks & drink included. Join us for "Brew & Brush" on Saturday, August 18 from 11:00-1:00 or Sunday, August 19, from 12:00-2:00 pm. Ages 21+. In this class, you'll create this summer scene painting under the instruction of our friend, local artist Mia Rudolph! Welcome all levels of painting abilities! In this class, you will create a 16" x 20" painting with acrylic on canvas! Mia will guide you through the process of painting this subject, pictured here, of a beautiful summer scene. This painting is easier to make than it looks! Mia will be instructing the class step-by-step and using stencils as well. Included in the cost of your class: the canvas, paint, supplies, snacks,1 drink token (1 pint glass of our homemade craft beers or a homemade root beer), and door prize by artist Mia are all provided in the cost of your class!  $39 per person. About the artist instructing your class: Mia Rudolph is a local artist who works in acrylics, color pencil, and other mediums. She is a full-time school nurse and has 3 children. Mia attended WIU and studied studio art. It is Mia's colorful artwork that we have on display in our taproom here at Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery! Pre-registration for this class is required. Farm CSA Members: In your share of organic items this week: Tomatoes!!!-  More tomatoes are ripening each week, and this week you'll get the first regular sized tomatoes, as well as plenty of cherry tomatoes.  Please pick up your share promptly during tomato season, our tomatoes are very perishable and we do not refrigerate them for best taste.Tomatoes in your share include: Chocolate Cherry Tomatoes - 1 bag of these purple colored cherry tomatoes White Cherry Tomatoes - 1 bag for each of you of these white / light yellow colored cherry tomatoes Sun Gold Cherry Tomatoes - 1 bag for each of you of these super sweet orange cherry tomatoes Red Amish Cherry Tomatoes - 1 bag of these large cherry tomatoes for each of you Regular Red Tomatoes - the first regular sized tomatoes of the season are ripening. 2 each, with more to come in future weeks as they all start to ripen! Garlic - Freshly harvested, this small garlic bulb will still be crunchy! Zucchini & Patty Pan Summer Squash- A nice bag of beautiful yellow Patty Pan Squash, green zucchini, and other varieties of summer squash!  Enjoy all of these just as you would zucchini.   Hot Peppers- A few large chili peppers & some smaller jalapeno too.  Green Beans & Yellow Beans- These 2 colors of beans are combined in one bag this week, over 1 pound for each of you! Basil- Yum, fresh basil! Great with your fresh tomatoes! Asian Cucumbers - 2 of these in each of your shares. Asian cucumbers are longer than a regular cucumber, similar to the "English" or "burpless" type of long cucumbers you see wrapped in plastic in grocery stores. Our favorite type of cucumber! Cucumbers - 7 each! Still a HUGE Bumper crop year for cucumbers!!! Get ready to make some cucumbers salads, and maybe some refrigerator pickles!  Or, share with friends & family - it's rare that we have such a huge crop of cucumbers! Bell Pepper - Sweet bell peppers. You'll see 3 crunchy fresh bell peppers in your share.  Australian Yellowleaf Lettuce -  This heirloom variety of lettuce originates in Australia!   Need recipe ideas for the items in your share?
