Jalapeno Ale on tap, Peach Mango ending soon, plus more news! Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Jalapeno Ale is back on tap for this weekend only!  You can enjoy a glass of this spicy ale one last time this summer (and YES we will have enough to fill growlers)!  We will also have the Peach Mango Ale on tap this weekend, so those of you who enjoyed blending the Peach & Jalapeno beers are in luck! Sadly, all good things must end eventually.... and our Peach Mango Ale will be gone soon (by next weekend most likely).  We will be rotating our fruit beers again, and our fall Apple Ale will be replacing it starting sometime in early September.

Farm CSA Members: Group A half-share members and Full Share members, you are scheduled to pick up your organic vegetable shares this weekend. Scroll down for details on this week's CSA items.

Farm CSA Members: In your share of organic items this week:
  • Arugula- first harvest of the fall arugula! This Italian salad green is delicious mixed into salads, or chopped & sprinkled raw onto cooked pizza & pasta
  • Green Beans & Yellow Beans - a nice bag of mixed green & yellow beans
  • Red & Green Lettuce - first of the fall lettuce - Red & Green oak leaf lettuce mixed bag
  • Cherry Tomatoes - a nice sized bag of mixed cherry tomatoes: red, purple, yellow, orange!  Almost done for the season due to weather conditions (see next).
  • Red & Orange Slicing Tomatoes - regular sized slicing tomatoes.  All of the tomatoes are slowing down production, the heavy rains this summer have not made them happy.  It looks like they might not be around much longer, so let's enjoy them while they're still here!  :)
  • Garlic - one bulb each
  • Summer Squash & Patty Pan Squash-  Mixture of summer & patty pan summer squashes.  Also slowing down for the summer & won't be around much longer.
  • Hot Peppers- A few large chili peppers
  • Basil- Yum, fresh basil! Great with your fresh tomatoes!  The basil is almost done for the season, we're seeing it succumb to the weather.
  • Asian Cucumbers - great in salads
  • Cucumbers - the now-infamous 2018 Cucumber Bumper Crop is finally slowing down.  You'll only see a few cucumbers in your share this week.
  • Bell Pepper - Sweet bell peppers. You'll see a few crunchy fresh bell peppers in your share.
  • Optional U-Pick Bonus Items: Yellow and Red Apples!  These small organic yellow & red Macintosh apples are crunchy & delicious!  CSA Members may pick from this any of the apple trees in our orchard, they are all ripe now.   Ask us to point out the tree, and we can provide a bag if needed!  This is a CSA Member benefit!  :)
