New Stout beer, Sign up for Veggies now OPEN, Upcoming events, plus more Brew & Farm News!

We're unveiling a Brand NEW Stout!  Another strong one at 10% ABV, our "Sugar River Stout" was brewed with blackstrap molasses, dark brown sugar, and plenty of dark roasted malts.  Not sweet - all that sugar fermented to create a high alcohol stout - at 10% alcohol by volume, this one will only be served in the 6 oz glasses - or take some home in a growler!
We also have a bit of Vladimir left, our 12% ABV Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout!  We almost ran out of it last weekend, and we instated a "no more growler fills" policy on this one, which has allowed us to carry it through with just 1 keg remaining.... for those of you who didn't get a chance last weekend, pop in this Friday for a taste!  Only served in 6oz glasses, no growler fills.

Our 2018 CSA Program, is now open for everyone to sign up!!!  New members, you can learn more about joining our veggie program here on our web site:  http://www.wishfulacresfarm.com/csa-program .  We offer payment via credit card, cash, or check... and those wishing to pay with installments can do so by checks, with all installments due by June 1. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) News

CSA farm members, you may pick up your vegetables anytime during our open hours this weekend, Friday 4-9, Saturday 12-9, Sunday 12-5.  In this week's veggie share:
  • Black Radishes - A gourmet treat - common in Europe, but rarely seen here in the U.S.  The Black Radish is beloved for it's anti-viral and healthful properties.  Black Radishes are very course & tough - you'll want to grate this onto a salad, or slice very thinly and enjoy with crackers or dip. A spicy radish flavor!
  • Beets - a big bag of beets!  Enjoy these roasted, boiled, baked, you name it.
  • Potatoes - fresh, keep refrigerated
  • Lettuce - oak leaf lettuce, fresh from our greenhouse
  • Turnips - variety is "American Purple Top".  Great roasted or in a "Turnip Au Gratin"!
  • Hakurei - white Japanese mild radishes / salad turnips - delicious, try them raw with dip!
  • Kale - try some kale chips or kale soup!
  • Garlic
