On Saturday, October 25, from 10:30 am - 12:00 noon, stop by Your Core Being in downtown Freeport (7 W. Main St.). I'll be there with our farm's USDA Certified Organic micro-greens, and answering any questions about our new Winter MicroGreens CSA program (you can read more about our MicroGreens CSA program on our web site at www.WishfulAcresFarm.com). On hand to samle will be the following microgreens; Sunflower Greens, Sweet Pea Greens, Spring Mix MicroGreens, and Wheatgrass (wheatgrass is for juicing or smoothie-making).
Also on hand will be my oldest son, age 11, who began a baking business this past summer (in accordance with the recently passed IL Cupcake Law). He creates gourmet cupcakes that are honestly the best I've ever tasted. He will have small mini-cupcake samples on hand, in such flavors as Peppermint Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Snickerdoodle, and more. He does all of the baking & decorating by himself from start to finish (honestly!), makes the delicious Vanilla Buttercream frostings from scratch, and uses a pastry piping bag to decorate the frosting. Delicious & Beautiful!
