But find it he did. And then apparently he thought various bluejay parts would make nice gifts for his owners.
A couple of days ago there was a bluejay head laying on the steps between our driveway & door. I ignored it, just stepped right over it (shows what a true farmwoman I've become, where this kind of scene doesn't even phase me anymore)!
Apparently he didn't like his gift being ignored. This morning, when I opened the door to our outside porch to gather a load of firewood... he had placed the bluejay head right on the doormat.
By now I'm pretty amused! But alas my husband ended the fun by removing the head from rotation.
I tell you... never a dull moment on a farm!
