Recipe: Winter roast with storage vegetables

Roast ready to put on top of the woodstove to simmer for a few hours! Oh wow, all these delicious vegetables were grown here on our farm, I just pulled them out of our root cellar. Yum!

-1 grass fed beef roast
-3 cups chicken or beef stock
-5 potatoes
-2 rutabaga
-5 carrots
-1 yellow onion
-1 red onion
-a few garlic cloves
-salt & pepper

You can simmer in a crockpot, on your stovetop, or even a woodstove!

  1. Winter is my favorite time of year because of all the winter vegetables you can add to hearty stews an soups. I will try this. I love to cook in my dutch oven.
