Fall Harvest Meal

The smells that filled my kitchen when this meal was cooking were sent from heaven!  Like an early Thanksgiving...

Baked Acorn Squash with butter and brown sugar: winter squash is one of my favorite vegetables, and it's best simply prepared.  Just cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds, and fill with a dollop of butter and spoonful of brown sugar.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Harvest Sausage: I took 1 pound of sausage, mixed in 1 chopped apple, 1 chopped medium onion, 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.  Formed into patties, placed on top of a broiler pan, and baked with the squash at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
