My husband makes a great lasagna.
I bought him a deep-dish pan for Christmas to use as a giant lasagna dish.
I was rewarded last week with this masterpiece:
Oh, yes, and it tasted even better than it looked. I think it was his best yet. He made it using our home-canned pasta sauce which made a huge difference. Delicious.
We've learned a big time-saver when it comes to lasagna: we never pre-cook the noodles anymore. As long as you use a lot of extra sauce in each layer for the noodles to soak up, you can layer them in raw. Saves a lot of time!
