It made the local news on June 18 when a black bear was spotted nearby.
He was right along a major highway and easily spotted.
I do wonder what he was doing here. I don't recall a bear ever being in this area before. The local officials told everyone to use caution but enjoy the bear while he was in the area before he eventually returned to his natural habitat. I had wondered what they would do about it... nice that it is being left alone.
