Award-Winning Alfredo Sauce

We recently had our semi-annual family cook-off competition. My husband is from a large family and most love to cook.

The competition is modeled off of Food Network's Iron Chef.

The secret ingredient was cream cheese, which I had been hoping for because I make a very easy yummy Alfredo sauce.

My husband made the homemade whole wheat noodles and chicken. I made the sauce.
We took second place out of more than a dozen entries! So now this alfredo recipe can be called an award-winner.

Award-Winning Alfredo Sauce
1 8-oz package cream cheese, cubed
1 stick butter (1/2 cup), cut into pieces (I usually cut it at each tablespoon mark)
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Combine all, cook over a very low heat, stirring constantly.

That's it! It's so easy.
I also add a bit of garlic powder and a splash of white wine.

  1. Hee hee, what do you do with the white wine once you've used a splash? Oh, maybe that's why you only used a splash, lol! :)

  2. Does it refrigerate? Or does it turn hard? Can you reheat without it separating?

  3. It does turn hard when refrigerated but reheats beautifully with no separation. Enjoy!
