The 'mean' little red hen

We have about 100 egg-laying hens here at Wishful Acres Farm. This gal here has the biggest personality of all our red hens. She sits inside the coop in this corner, on a few eggs, and throws an absolute fit anytime one of us enters the coop. She fluffs up her feathers & makes mean growling noises at us! Just look at her tail feathers standing up in this picture.

She pecks at our hands when we take eggs from under her. We tell our sons that she's just a bit "snarky"... mean, hahaha.
