Pictures of our new farmhouse!

These were taken last winter, during another attempt we made at purchasing the farm. 

We close on November 30, so I will post many new pictures of the house, buildings, and land after that!  :-)

Above is the original 1880 farmhouse.  Did I mention it has always been a dream of ours to have a front porch in the country that views the west (in this case, the south and west) so we can watch thunderstorms roll in?  We just need a porch swing and some chairs... and a chainsaw to remove a few select trees blocking the view.  :-)

This picture is a view of the side of the house, with the original farmhouse on the left and the newer addition on the right. Another porch!  I love that they used older materials when adding on.  This porch is definitely a new addition, but they used old balustrades to support the new porch.  Love it!  There is much more of this re-use inside as well.
