Celebrate Summer with Us at Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery!
Summer has officially arrived! The calendar proves it, and we're also seeing some warmer weather along with the official start of summer. We hope to see you soon as we all celebrate summer with a cool handcrafted craft beer here at Wishful Acres!
Next weekend, July 5-7, we'll be releasing a small batch of our Jalapeno Ale, so be sure to mark your calendars! Our Jalapeno Ale never lasts more than a weekend of two - but don't forget that you can purchase some to take home with you in a Growler!
Tap Room Bar at our Brewery In our Tap Room this weekend, open Fridays 4-9 pm, Saturdays 1-8 pm, and Sundays 1-5 pm, we will be pouring fresh from our taps:
Double IPA - high ABV, hoppy!
Cherry Ale - fruit beer
El Dorado - Pale Ale
Smart A** - Wit Bier (supply getting low)
Simowa - IPA (almost gone)
Overcast - Hefezeizen German-style
Chocolate Donut Imperial Stout
Peach Mango Ale - fruit beer
Kilted Tartan - Scotch Ale 70-Shilling style
Stoutzilla - dark stout
Honey Wheat - mild & easy drinking!
Homemade Root Beer (non-alcoholic)
In addition to fresh beer by the glass, we also have growler fills available for carry-out!
The season has begun! Farm Members, please refer to your pickup schedules. In this week's share:
Sugar Snap Peas - The peak harvest of this year's sugar snap peas has arrived! You'll each be receiving a big, double-sized bag-full!
Kale - Super delicious in a kale soup or kale salad, or try a recipe for kale chips! This leafy green vegetable is super healthy.
Kohlrabi - I'm calling this year's kohlrabi harvest "Battle-Scarred". So much rain caused the kohlrabi to crack, and then heal. You'll notice tan-colored marks, or "scars", where the plant cracked open from the excess rain, and then healed. Not pretty, but still delicious!
Garlic Scapes - A gourmet treat! The fresh top of the garlic plant. Use as you would fresh onion or garlic.
Dill - Fresh Dill! Great in dips, on sandwiches & salads.
Cilantro - Fresh Cilantro! Use it to flavor your Mexican or Asian dishes!
Lettuce - Simpson lettuce is light green and very delicate. You'll never see it in a grocery store due to it's delicacy; it's a lettuce that is meant to be enjoyed fresh & local. Great for wilted lettuce salads with warm bacon dressing!
Arugula - The arugula harvest is almost done for the spring. Enjoy! Large leaves of arugula with a beautiful bright green color.
Radishes - Easter Egg radishes - purple, red, pink, white! The leaves are left attached, and are also edible - try some on a salad, the greens taste similar to the radish root itself.

Our CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture) is a membership program in which members become "shareholders" in the farm's seasonal vegetable production & receive a "share" of the farm's organic produce for our full 22-week-long season!
