2 Brewers + 1 Collaboration Recipe = Liquid Schwartz! Also: 1 keg Cranberry Ale left, then to Apple!

We have a special new beer on tap!  "Liquid Schwartz" is a collaboration between 2 brewers: Nate at Wishful Acres & Steven at Generations.  These 2 brewers wrote a beer recipe together, Nate brewed it here at Wishful Acres, and the results are delicious!  Details below. We found 1 keg of the Cranberry Apple fruit beer in the back of our cooler!  We will put this final keg of Cranberry on tap this Friday, and once it runs out we will return to the regular Apple Ale. High ABV like wine, made with barley  Honey Wheat - mild & easy drinking! Homemade Root Beer (non-alcoholic) In addition to fresh beer by the glass, we also have growler fills available for carry-out!   NEW BEER! 2 Brewers + 1 Collaboration Recipe = Liquid Schwartz! The story of this collaboration recipe begins back in September....  after the Pretzel City Brewfest in Freeport, the Abraham Lincoln cutout was kidnapped & ended up at Wishful Acres.  Likewise, the Stephen Douglas cutout was kidnapped & ended up at Generations.  We got wind of it & issued a ransom to Generations on Facebook - what will it take to get the 2 guys back together? Long story short, we ended up deciding that a Collaboration Beer would be a great way to end the ransom & get Lincoln & Douglas back together.  (For those of you not from Freeport, a bit of back history: Abraham Lincoln & Stephen Douglas had a debate right here in Freeport back in 1858 - the Lincoln-Douglas Debate. It's a major point of community pride & history... hence the reason for the cutouts at the Freeport brewfest!) Nate of Wishful Acres & Steven of Generations co-wrote a new beer recipe, and decided to brew something different & unusual... a style of beer that is rarely seen.... a "Schwartzbier"!  Schwartzbier is a style of German black lager.  It's a dark beer without a full body, brewed with German malts & German lager yeast.  It's mild & delicious - 4.5% ABV and 15 IBU.   As for the name, "Liquid Schwartz", if you're a fan of the movie Spaceballs you'll understand.  So let's raise our glass in Cheers... and May the Schwartz be with You! 2019 CSB Program Memberships now available!
