News & Happenings at Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery: We have a new beer on tap! Try Red Five, our new Red I.P.A. brewed with 5 hop additions! Red Five features the hoppy, bitter flavor of an IPA, balanced out with plenty of citrus-flavored hops! A noseful of grapefruit, and the wham of hops - "This is Red 5, I'm going in"! 8.8% ABV, 75 IBU. Our "Beer Share", aka CSB Program (Community Supported Brewery) is an ongoing membership program that offers members a 1-year supply of our beer at discounted prices, plus additional discounts & benefits.  Learn more on our web site: http://www.wishfulacresfarm.com/csb-program "Veggie Share" CSA News: CSA Members, the full shareholders & Group B half-shareholders are scheduled for pickup here at the farm today (Thursday) between 3:30-5:30, during our members-only open time slot.  Give me a call or text (815-990-2380), or email if you have questions or concerns with pickup this week.  Your veggie shares this week are chock-full of fall greens & more, including: Garlic Winter Squash, sugar pumpkin Hot Peppers (probably the last of the season!) Sweet Bell Peppers (probably the last of the season!) Radishes, French Breakfast variety Eggplant (last of the season!) Kale Asian Greens & Mustard Greens Arugula Lettuce Also, optional u-pick fruit, there are still apples on the trees if you wish to pick some while you're here picking up your share! The CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture) is a membership program in which members become "shareholders" in the farm's vegetable production & receive a "share" of the farm's produce!
