We (farmer and intern) harvested and packaged produce for about 12 hours on Thurs & Fri morning. We were heading down the driveway to a Farmers Market with a van full of produce when the brakes went out. Which meant we missed farmers market, spent extra hours harvesting & bagging produce, and had to make a costly repair to the van. Yes, I have another farmers market in the morning, but we harvested veggies to cover 2 farmers markets. Wasted food, time, packaging.... this is a tough way of life, no doubt.
