Here is the raccoon in our farmhouse attic that has been evading capture for over a week now - it had figured out how to get at the food without triggering the trap... until today! We got it - that makes 5, and we are hoping this is the last one. For the record, my husband & son drove it a few miles away and released it.
It's hard to see the coon in this large trap because of my husband's shadow (he snapped the pic with his cell phone), but it's there!
My husband is about halfway through the coon cleanup (removing their waste, sterilizing everything, etc.).
The kitchen is almost done, and I gutted the last bathroom left yesterday. The other 1 1/2 baths are done.
We'll probably be moved in there by March 1, if this was truly the last raccoon left. We'll be monitoring the marshmallows in the attic to see if they're still being eaten!
