We have heat, no mold, and water soon

.
The heat was turned on at the farmhouse today.  They are now fixing broken pipes & soon we'll have water in the house.  Also, the mold specialist the bank required us to hire has tore out the moldy drywall.  Good news is there was no mold in the wood, it was just the drywall.  He has treated the area, rehung new drywall, and will be painting tomorrow.

On the downside, there has been a raccoon living in the house and now that we're seeing into some of the walls, that sucker caused a lot of damage & left a lot of poop and pee behind.  That's our next priority - getting that all cleaned out.  We think the coon made it's escape yesterday, so hopefully she's gone for good and we didn't have to trap her.  My husband & a neighbor sighted some mice today, though, so those are next up to go. The place has been empty for 3 years, I guess it's to be expected.

My husband is just a tad bit exhausted.  He's been working out at the farmhouse during the day and going to his regular job in the afternoon.  I was hoping he'd be able to sleep in a bit yesterday & today, but with 3 little boys in the house it's a very loud place to be (me trying to get them ready & rounded up for school & preschool is not exactly a quiet process, either, I'll admit).  I'm going to force him to an early bedtime this weekend!

So far it's going smoothly!
