Christmas Dinner: Standing Rib Roast


Christmas dinner: standing rib roast from a nearby farm.  Tender, moist, delicious!  One of the best cuts of beef you'll ever taste, and even better when it's nearby quality meat.

We used the Paula Deen recipe for seasoning the roast: rubbed with her recipe for House Blend seasoning (a mixture of salt, pepper, and garlic powder).

This was a 15 pound roast.  Baked at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes, then lowered to 325 degrees F for 3 hours.
