95 degrees in the unheated Greenhouse today!

..
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I was working on building a hoophouse / unheated greenhouse.  It's almost finished!

The plastic is on, and although I still need to work on winterizing it a bit more (weather stripping & straw bales around the base for insulation), I couldn't resist telling you about it!

First, I promise that I will put together a tutorial and post it here soon so you can all see the how-to.  In the meantime, I must tell you that it's a beautiful clear, sunny fall day - outside temperature right now is in the 75 degree range.  I went out to the greenhouse and took an internal temperature reading - currently at 95 degrees.  I must mention that the humidity in there is unbelievable.  There is moisture dripping from the ceiling and running down the walls!  In the future, I'll be venting the house on days like today, but it's so new and fun to me that I want to see just how hot it gets during these fall days.

Let's just see if I can keep it above freezing during the winter along the soil!

Here's a picture, to tempt you for the upcoming tutorial:

Can you see this temperature reading of 94.5 degrees?  I know, it's hard to see through the layer of humidity-induced vapor that settled on the thermometer and my camera lens!
