Today I am cooking / canning / freezing applesauce. An early variety of apple is ripe and some nearby farmers are kind enough to let us pick. 3 laundry baskets full of apples will keep us all busy for a couple of days.
The gardens need weeding and fall planting will be done soon as well.
I dropped off all my entries for the county fair today - this is my first year competing, mostly in the canned foods categories.
