.
As some of you may know, I have 3 sons; ages 7, 4, and 2.
Those other moms of multiple sons and no daughters can probably relate... there is just too much testosterone in my house. Boys are physical creatures - everything is done with hits, jabs, screams, kicks.....
My week's tally as referee:
- Number of fistfights broken up: 4 (only true fistfights counted)
- Times I saw hands hitting, feet kicking, or someone shoving: Dozens
- Screaming matches, arm wrenches, grabs, general disagreements: Oh, hundreds
There is a love/hate relationship among them. 60% hate (99% if one of them is overtired), but then the other 40% of the time there is this. My oldest making ice cream cones for himself and his brothers. And it makes up for it all. Times like this I can see through the current haze of my life as referee and know that someday they will be best friends all the time.
If only I can keep them all alive and unharmed from each other long enough to grow up and have it reversed to 80% love, 20% hate....

I hear ya! I have 5 boys 15, 10, 8, 5 and almost 3... The testorsterone in this house is overwhelming. I've never kept a running tally...I wonder what I'd discover? The loving times have a way of making up for the other times don't they?! :)
