This Valentine's Day marks our 11th wedding anniversary. We didn't do anything much for our 10th, as my youngest son was still nursing and we just couldn't get away.
This year, my parents are babysitting, and we're outta here today! Just for the day, but it will be nice! We hope to tour a local microbrewery in New Glarus, WI, visit my favorite Amish bulk food and bent & dent grocery stores, near Albany, WI, and eat at Baumgartner's cheese store / tavern in Monroe, WI.
I do live in Illinois, but we're right on the border with Wisconsin. It should be a fun day!
As for the rest of the weekend, I plan on making a batch of refried beans in the crockpot (click here for my recipe, it's so easy) so we can eat Mexican food all weekend (yum!). I'll also be planting some more large-potted vegetables, cleaning, and taking the boys swimming at the indoor pool at our gym.

My plans for the weekend? well, I'm packing my suitcase for a short trip up to Northern Norway next week to see the Northern Lights! Wisconsin sounds cold enough! lots of layers!
