I have to share with you all the name of one of my favorite authors. Sophie Kinsella. She writes what I affectionately call "British Chic Lit".
All of her books are great. Quick, easy, humorous reads. One of her books was recently made into a movie (actually it's a book series) - called "Confessions of a Shopaholic". I've mentioned on my blog before how much I abhor movies based on books I've read. Of course the books are so much better, and of course they butchered the "Shopaholic" movie. I mean, the main character is of course BRITISH and in the movie they made her AMERICAN.... it's just a downhill slide from there when you change the Britishness of something (I made that word up, Britishness...).
Anyway, I just finished her most recent book. It's called "Twenties Girl", and like her others, it's a great read. This one is actually a ghost story, believe it or not. Not a scary ghost story, a humorous, lovable ghost story.
If you're looking for some great, lighthearted books, I highly recommend you request some Sophie Kinsella novels from your library soon.

Hmmmm, thanks for the idea! I've never read anything of hers before, but I'll have to remember her name next time I'm searching for something new to read.
